Topeka, KS – Darron Fuqua came into Saturday night’s race at HPT 2nd in the National Points in the USRA Modified standings. After Saturday night Fuqua did nothing but help his chances in getting to the top spot by racing is way to win #8 on the season. Starting 6th on the grid, Fuqua, took home some valuable bonus points for the win that could aid him in the championship race. In the USRA B Mod Feature it was all Andy Bryant as he scored his 1st win of the season at HPT. Josh Everhart climbed behind the wheel of a new USRA Stock Car and stormed to a victory on Saturday night. David McDonald held on through a wild Pure Stock Feature to log another win on the season and it was Dan Canady fending off Toby Teel and Tony Filbert for the win in the Sport Compact Feature.
2014 Champions in all divisions were crowned also on Saturday night. Jeremy Chambers won the championship in the USRA Modifieds, USRA Stock Car Champ for the 2nd straight year was Steve Herrick, Dustin Thulin finished the year on top of the USRA B Mod standings and Randy Kohn took home the championship in the Pure Stocks.
Topeka, KS – Fifty three cars checked in for action at Heartland Park Topeka Saturday night and for the 2nd time this season Jared Rogers took control of the USRA Modified Feature and pulled down another win. Rogers started 3rd in the main event and out raced Josh Everhart and Jeremy Chambers for the win. Nick Newton logged his 1st win of the season in the USRA B Mod division. For the 2nd straight week Alan Mattox roared to another win in the Pure Stock class. Mattox has notched 4 wins in the last 6 races! The USRA Stock Car Feature belonged to Jake Newman as he drove to victory for the 1st time this season at HPT.

Topeka, KS – The Buffalo Bills of the racing world, Heath Murry, finally got the job done by winning his 1st feature at HPT in the USRA B Mod division. Murry had lost the lead in every conceivable way in prior races and finally put together 15 laps where he would finish out front. Steven Bowers Jr. used a late race yellow to win his 5th USRA Modified Feature. Dale Eaton overcame handling issues in hot laps and his heat race to win the USRA Stock Car main event in a brand new ride. Alan Mattox was the King of the Pure Stock Feature getting the win. In the Sport Compact Feature it was all Dan Canady who logged his 6th win of the season.
